Tips for Saying Sorry

• Wait for the right time. Time will put some distance between the hurt of whatever you did and your apology.  Don't wait too long though… or else you'll have another reason to apologise!
• Be sincere. Your message should reflect that you’re really sorry.  Start it with "I feel" and admit what you did.
• Don't expect forgiveness immediately. If the person can't forgive you right away, don't push.  Forgiveness is something they can give, not something you can demand.  Sometimes it takes time, so give them some space.
• Don't do the same thing again. It sounds so obvious! But make sure your actions don't erase what you've said.
