Online card making has many benefits. You get to send out greeting cards any time you like (24 / 7), and never have to leave your home or office. It’s surprisingly affordable and so quick and easy to use, too. The benefits are endless, really!
With over 15,000 ready to use card designs in the database, you can just choose the ones you like, add the wording you want inside, and send out cards from your computer. This is very convenient, indeed.
But have you ever thought about posting a customised card – especially to your business leads? This is what I do all the time, and it is very powerful: because when it comes to closing a sale, it’s not so much what you do or say, but how you make them feel.
Just a few extra minutes to customise your card will make the recipient feel great: they feel special because they can see that you have taken time to customize their card. Little do they know that it only took you a few minutes!
Our Tips:
First, learn the very basics of digital image editing (e.g. with PhotoShop) – trust me, you really only need to know a little bit (personally, I have very limited PhotoShop skills, but I have enough to create these custom cards). It’s super easy to do.
Now choose from the following ideas (just one, or more than one):
- Add the prospect’s logo to their card (if they have a website, just copy the logo image from their site, and save it on your computer)
- Use any suitable image from their website for their card (e.g. photo of the outside / inside of their office, staff group photo, etc)
- Use an image of the place you met the prospect (e.g. an expo venue, a function room, etc)
- Use an image of a landmark in the client’s area (e.g. if they’re in Sydney, you could choose an image of its famous harbour)
Easy as 1, 2, 3…
- Using PhotoShop, etc it’s easy to size the image perfectly (2250 pixels x 1613 pixels)
- Now log on to the card making service, and create a card
- Upload the image and create the card
Use the feature “Add a Blank Text Item” – simply adding a greeting that uses their name (e.g. “Hello John…”) to the front of the card customises it even further
Extra Tip:
- Use PhotoShop to easily create an image of your business card, too
- Log on and select a card template that lets you upload a business card sized image into the inside of the cardUpload your business card image, and include it inside the card
- Then add your wording inside, and send it off
